Adam Goldenberg is a partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, based in Toronto. His trial, appellate, and arbitration practice focuses on commercial disputes and public law, including regulatory and constitutional litigation. He has been counsel in dozens of appeals to the Supreme Court of Canada across myriad areas of law, as well as in the courts of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, and the federal courts.

Adam regularly acts pro bono for individuals and public interest organizations, particularly in matters affecting the 2SLGBTQI+ community. Since 2023, he has been lead counsel for 2SLGTBQI+ organizations challenging laws in New Brunswick and Saskatchewan that restrict the use of gender diverse students’ chosen names and pronouns in school. He is a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, and has been honoured as a “Leader To Be Proud Of” by Start Proud and with a Visibility Award by the International Day of Pink.
