Denine Das joined as Scotiabank’s first ever Vice President, Global Inclusion in November 2023. She brings with her over 20 years of Human Resources and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) leadership experience across multiples industries including telecom, international hospitality and provincial government, to name a few. Denine has dedicated the past two decades to providing continuous education on human rights, accessibility, anti-racism and belonging.
As a creative and strategic leader, nothing energizes her more than working with highly engaged teams committed to developing the experience and cultural excellence for the employee and the brand. Central to the provision of excellence are the people behind delivering it. Within this very notion it is important to acknowledge the indelible impact that diverse organizations have on that experience. It is through diversity that an organization is uniquely positioned to deliver an experience that is expansive and truly nuanced.
Denine proudly has a reputation for being human centre, with a proven ability to develop and present information compellingly to a wide range of stakeholders, and possess integrity, openness, sound judgment, and confidence.
In her current role, Denine is supporting the global business strategy and ensuring that Scotiabank's global diversity, equity & inclusion strategies and programs align with the overall goals, values and philosophies of the Bank – A future for everyone; and leads the Bank’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Indigenous Inclusion centre of expertise and inclusion culture, including human rights and social justice.
