Oversee and manage the external functions of Start Proud, leading teams in Logistics, Marketing, Corporate Relations, Advocacy and Community Relations, and Initiatives Leads (OOBS, Leaders to be Proud Of, Mentorship Program, Campus Engagement). Ensure seamless execution of key programs and external engagement strategies, driving visibility, partnerships, and impact in alignment with the organization’s mission.

Start Proud aims to connect LGBTQ+ students with employers, while promoting the development of LGBTQ+ professionals, and celebrating the achievements and service of those in the community.
We facilitate the professional development of LGBTQ+ students as they transition from school to career in order to build a national network within the community. Our vision is to empower members of the LGBTQ+ community to be Canada’s leaders of tomorrow, where all institutions embrace inclusiveness within the workplace and diversity within the workforce.
The Executive Vice President (EVP) role is to support the President in all of their duties and to serve as a problem-solver and point of contact for everyone in the organization. Unlike the President, the EVP is more focused on operations.
